Monique Hyde Kennedy
Monique is a certified paralegal with over 20 years of experience. She specializes in water law, working closely with attorneys Jeff Houpt and Ryan Jarvis, as well as assisting with litigation cases.
She is an avid snowboarder who enjoys the Colorado outdoor lifestyle and can be found camping, fishing, dirt biking, rafting, rock climbing, skateboarding and mountain biking in the summer. Monique also loves to read, travel and spend time with her husband, Chris, and dog Jett.
Diane has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope College in Holland, MI, and an Associates of Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Colorado Northwest Community College in Craig, CO, where she interned with a district court judge and graduated with honors. She has been a Paralegal with BCH since 2000, assisting with intake of new clients, business formation, litigation, mechanics’ liens, real estate transactions, legal research, estate planning, stepparent adoptions, estate planning and probate. Diane has been actively involved in the community as a 4-H mom for over 20 years, and is active in her church.
Before coming to BCH in 2004, Jody worked in law enforcement and the prosecutor’s office for over 20 years. Jody has enjoyed the change from criminal law to civil law. At BCH she assists with real estate transactions, contracts and business law, as well as keeping the firm’s accounting in line. Jody is the friendly face you usually see first when walking through the front door at BCH.
Jody is active in the community as a volunteer member of Garfield County Search & Rescue, Inc. and Search and Rescue Dogs of the United States. She and her dog Diesel spend much of her free time training for search and rescue missions.
